India-based EV startup Matter Energy has unveiled India's first geared electric motorcycle which will be launched in April 2023. Matter's e-bike has a power of 10.5 kW, with a 4-speed hyper-shift manual gearbox (First-in-India), 520 Nm torque, and an inbuilt liquid cooling. The e-bike has a capacity of 5 kWh and it offers a range of 125-150 kms.The electric bike gets a streetfighter design language. It comes loaded with all LED lighting, split seats, clip-on handlebars and a split grab rail for the pillion. In terms of features, it gets a 7-inch touchcreen display with information such as riding modes, navigation,media controls, smartphone connectivity, geo-fencing, and a lot more.The e-bike is expected to have 3 variants. The vehicle comes equipped with a standard onboard 1-kilowatt charger,matterCharge 1.0, which allows the vehicle to be charged at any 5A, 3-pin plug point. The onboard charger can charge the vehicle in less than 5 hours and includes overcharge protection.There are four colour options for the bike: black, red, neon, and blue.
